Buffelsdrift Game Lodge is a malaria free, luxury tented game farm at the foothills of the Swartberg Mountain, situated 6.5km outside Oudtshoorn en route to the famous Cango Caves. At the Lodge you will find pristine Bushveld, lush vegetation and a 5ha dam that provides a haven for game, and more than 217 bird species. We offer understated elegance, with mountains as a unique backdrop.
 
Buffelsdrift Game Lodge offers 9 luxury waterfront and 16 luxury tents, each one with its own en-suite bathroom and private outdoor shower, air-conditioning, mini-bar, digital safe, tea/coffee making facilities and a game viewing deck. We can accommodate a total of 50 persons (50 beds) in our 25 tents either with twin or king size beds.
A ‘residents only’ swimming pool is conveniently located nearby the tents.
Our a la Carte restaurant is managed by one of the Southern Cape's top Food and Beverage managers. Seats 150 and has a wooden deck overlooking the waterhole.  This is the perfect place to be sipping cocktails, whilst watching the sunset over the hills, and listening to the hippos playing below

Experience an array of wildlife including Elephants, Rhino, Cape Buffalo, Giraffe, Hippo and many more. To avoid disturbing the wildlife, no swimming is allowed in the waterhole at the Lodge.
 
At Buffelsdrift we offer a Bushveld Safari in an open game viewer, with a refreshment stop at one of our lookout points.

You also get the opportunity of spending some quality time with our gentle giants – the Elephants. Buffelsdrift has 3 African Elephants that were raised at the Lodge, and offer Elephant riding, feeding and walking experiences.

We also offer horseback Safari’s accompanied by a trained guide.
